A People-centric adoption is critical to generating acceptance and gaining the support needed for implementing sustained change and increasing collaboration across the SDSU community.
The purpose of the People-centric Adoption Strategy is to:
- Develop a framework that will be utilized during the project;
- Maintain a strategic approach and tasks to ensure acceptance, support and commitment from the SDSU community for the implementation;
The people-centric adoption strategy will play an important role in proactively identifying changes, providing an opportunity for SDSU community members to understand changes and how to adapt to them, and to give the community time to work out “what is in it for them.” Using change management practices helps to integrate these process and procedural changes on an individual level so that the each community member feels empowered to be an agent for change.
