Get Ready for Student Registration, New Step-by-step Guide Available

November 22, 2022

Dear SDSU community,

We are excited to share that Spring 2023 course registration opens on Monday, Nov. 28, in my.SDSU. This is the first time students will be using the system to enroll for courses.

Registration Process Begins on Nov. 28

All SDSU students – including undergraduate, Global Campus, and graduate students – have received a registration window to sign up for their upcoming semester's courses. Instead of in WebPortal, this process will now occur in my.SDSU.

Students can see their registration appointment date and time in my.SDSU, and will be receiving additional emails with more information. All students are encouraged to check their SDSU email accounts for information leading up to the start of registration Nov. 28.

Information on how to find your registration appointment is contained in the Student Registration Guide referenced below.

Student Registration Guide

To support your Spring 2023 registration, a Student Registration Guide has been developed. We encourage all students to review the guide, which is housed on the Registration website, prior to their registration appointment.

All students are also strongly encouraged to add classes to their shopping carts in my.SDSU prior to their registration windows, in order to gain experience navigating the new interface. Students should review the prerequisites for each desired class prior to adding it to their shopping carts. Lacking a prerequisite will not stop a course from appearing in the shopping cart, but students will be unable to add the class when it comes time to register.

We also strongly encourage undergraduates to register for a 15-unit course load. Students who register for 15 units are more likely to succeed in their classes, graduate in four years, and save money on tuition and books thanks to timely graduation.
