Staff Update on my.SDSU

September 27, 2022
We are writing to update you on upcoming changes to the WebPortal as the campus begins our final transition to the my.SDSU (PeopleSoft Campus Solutions) student information system.

WebPortal Timeline in October

In preparation for the transition, please make all final updates in WebPortal by the end of business on Friday, September 30.

On Saturday, October 1, WebPortal data will "freeze." While data will continue to be viewable, it will not be updated as we synchronize this data with my.SDSU.

Beginning Saturday, October 1, data will begin converting from WebPortal to my.SDSU. As this conversion is complex, during this time, student records will not be updated.

Between October 1 - 10, the WebPortal applications listed below will be available to view legacy data. Please note: Access to these applications will be dependent on your current access within WebPortal Archive.

Student Support Applications
  • Degree Evaluation: A personalized evaluation of what an individual student needs to graduate from SDSU.
  • Student Registration Information: Allows staff  to view student current enrollments, with details on days and times of instruction, and location of classes.
  • MyMAP: The Major Academic Planner is a guide to completing degree requirements in four years.
  • Thesis and Milestones: Track a graduate student’s progress to degree completion
  • Unofficial Transcripts: Allows staff  to view a student’s unofficial transcript.
  • Web-based Forms: Undergraduate RAAR and Course Repeat Petitions forms Faculty and Administrative Support Applications.

Faculty and Administrative Support Applications
  • Faculty Evaluation Results: View historical evaluations for courses faculty in your department or college have taught prior to the Fall 2022 academic year.
  • FTES: View a report of Full-Time Equivalent Students (FTES) in a given academic year.
  • Incomplete Agreement: Review Incomplete Agreements made by faculty in your department or college with students prior to the start of the Fall 2022 academic year.
  • WebRoster: View the official roster of courses faculty in your department or college are teaching.
  • EAB Navigate: In tandem with our my.SDSU implementation, SDSU is also migrating to a new version of EAB Navigate. The current version will be available until October 6 at 11:59 p.m. The updated system will launch on October 12. Between October 12 - 24, the new instance can be used for scheduling appointments and normal functions, however, due to concurrent data conversion work, student academic records may be incomplete. Additional information for advisors will be provided at an SDSU Advising Forum on Friday, September 30.
On Monday, October 10, Faculty Evaluation Results, FTES, and Incomplete Agreements for past academic years will continue to be available in WebPortal Archive.

The my.SDSU website also houses a helpful summary table of these upcoming changes.

Please note: All historical data will be archived in WebPortal, not deleted or destroyed.

my.SDSU Implementation in October

On October 10, staff will have access to the new my.SDSU system. While we are synchronizing and validating data between October 10 - 23, services in my.SDSU will be limited to course and roster listings. During this time, updates can not be made to the student record. This includes late course adjustments, major changes, and name changes. These updates will resume on October 24.

Starting on October 24, staff will have full student record functionality in my.SDSU to support registration, enrollment, and course management. Registration for Spring 2023 will begin on November 28.
