Submitting Grades & Conducting Student Feedback Surveys

December 13, 2022

Dear instructional faculty colleagues:

Thank you for your flexibility as we have transitioned to my.SDSU. As Fall 2022 end-of-semester grading commences, we are writing to share timely information and resources.

Timeline for Grade Submission
Faculty may now begin entering grades in my.SDSU for the Fall 2022 semester (and several have already done so successfully!) Grades are due December 30, 2022 at 11 p.m.

Please note that grades posted in my.SDSU are immediately visible to students. Faculty who would like their students to complete feedback surveys prior to viewing end-of-semester grades are encouraged to enter grades after December 20, 11 p.m., when the student feedback survey window closes.

How to Submit Grades
Faculty may export grades from Canvas into my.SDSU or enter grades manually. Step-by-step instructions for Canvas export and manual entry are available here. If grades are entered but not posted by the faculty member, my.SDSU will automatically post all entered grades on December 30 at 11 p.m. If a grade roster is incomplete, students for whom no grades are entered will receive an RD (report delayed).

Student Feedback Surveys
From December 13 - 20, students will be invited to complete course feedback surveys with a pop-up message in Canvas and reminder emails from the Explorance Blue platform. Please consult the Faculty Guide for Accessing Student Feedback Surveys in my.SDSU/Explorance for further information.

Survey results will be available to faculty after the grading period closes, during the week of January 2nd). Please look for an email from the Explorance Blue platform.
