WebPortal Retirement Plan
WebPortal Retirement Information
In October 2022, SDSU transitioned to my.SDSU as its new student information system. WebPortal, the front-end of the legacy student information system, housed over 120+ applications, most of which were retired at the time of the transition to my.SDSU. A small number of applications remained available in an archived state to allow for a smooth transition of service.
The infrastructure supporting the WebPortal is nearing its end-of-life, meaning the remaining applications in-use will be retired as well over the course of the next academic year. You can find information below on each of the applications that are still available in WebPortal, their planned retirement dates, and how you can continue to get the information you need after the application becomes unavailable.
If you are still using the WebPortal ATF to fill out a PDF, you can reach out to The Office of Financial Operations in Academic Affairs for a fillable PDF.
If you need to view data from a legacy ATF filled out in WebPortal, you can submit a ticket on ServiceNow, and the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Systems team will be able to assist you. Please note that the data from the ATF on WebPortal may not match what was ultimately entered into the database maintained by Academic Affairs.
Please refer to SDSU’s Analytic Studies & Institutional Research website for FTES data.
SDSU is now using Transferology from CollegeSource. Transferology will allow users to search for courses that may transfer and meet requirements at SDSU. Please refer to the Office of the Registrar’s website for more information.
Incomplete Agreements from Fall 2022 onward will be maintained in my.SDSU.
If you would like to review an incomplete agreement between an instructor and a student prior to Fall 2022, you may continue to do so in WebPortal until the retirement date.
After the retirement date, you must contact the Office of the Registrar to view an Incomplete Agreement from summer 2022 or prior. Please indicate the course subject and catalog number, what term the course was taught, and the student’s Red ID.
Faculty Evaluations are now administered via Explorance Blue, and results from any surveys offered from Fall 2022 onward will be available via Explorance Blue.
Faculty Evaluation Results prior to Fall 2022 will be available in WebPortal until the retirement date. We strongly encourage you to log on and download any course evaluations you wish to retain before the retirement date.
After the retirement date, you can submit a ticket on ServiceNow, and the ERP Systems team will be able to assist you with downloading a legacy evaluation. If you have any further questions about Faculty Evaluations, please contact Faculty Advancement and Student Success.
Current Students: Current students at SDSU will continue to be able to access their unofficial transcripts on my.SDSU. It is highly recommended to download a copy after you have graduated from SDSU, as once your SDSUid becomes inactive, you will no longer be able to access my.SDSU.
Former Students: Former students will no longer have access to unofficial transcripts. These students will be able to order official transcripts through Parchment, Inc.. Directions to order transcripts can be found on the Registrar’s website.
Staff: Staff will be able to view unofficial transcripts for any students who were active at SDSU from Fall 2022 onward on my.SDSU, or for individuals whose records have been converted to my.SDSU. To view unofficial transcripts for non-converted students (students who last attended prior to Fall 2022), staff may submit a single-record conversion request to the Office of the Registrar. This form will be available once the application has been retired on WebPortal.
Current and former students will be able to order official transcripts through Parchment, Inc.. Directions to order transcripts can be found on the Registrar’s website.
Information about SDSU General Education course equivalents at universities outside of the United States will be available on the Registrar’s website in January 2025.
MyMAP will be replaced by the uAchieve Degree Planner tool during the summer of 2025. More information about that project is forthcoming. Until then, students, faculty, and staff can continue to view the publicly available MAPs on the WebPortal. No login is required.
