How Do I Sign Up for Direct Deposit?

Introduction

Direct deposit is an easy way to transfer funds directly to a student's bank account. It is also how all financial aid disbursements (grants, loans, scholarships) are paid to a student.

This guide will review how to sign up for direct deposit in my.SDSU.

Note: Direct deposit money is first applied to pay for tuition and fees, housing, etc. Then, if any funds remain, they are deposited into the student's account.

Read Tutorial

  1. Log in to my.SDSU and select the Financial Account tile.

  2. Select Enroll in Direct Deposit from the left side menu.

  3. Enter the appropriate information in the following fields (screenshot below):

    1. Account Type (Checking or Savings)
    2. Routing Number
    3. Account Number
    5. Confirm Account Number
    6. Acknowledgement of Terms & Conditions

    When you have finished, select Submit to complete the process.
