Preparing for Fall 2022

September 2, 2022

The Fall 2022 semester will be one of many changes at San Diego State University. To assist with the transition, we have created this page to help explain what Fall 2022 will look like for students in my.SDSU. Major changes are categorized by their impact across the student lifecycle and across four key areas - Admissions, Financial Aid, Student Accounts, and Student Enrollment & Registration.

Admissions

Applicants will start applications for Fall 2023 via Cal State Apply on October 1. These applications will be uploaded into my.SDSU, so future SDSU students will have a seamless transition into my.SDSU.

Financial Aid

Students will access their financial aid for Fall 2022 and beyond in my.SDSU.

Student Accounts

Due to the ongoing implementation of my.SDSU, students will not be penalized with enrollment cancellation or late fees for the month of August.

If you haven't done so already, please pay your tuition and fees or sign up for an installment plan by September 12, 2022 (Training Guide here).

September 12, 2022 is the deadline for Fall 2022:

    • Basic tuition and fees
    • Payment plan sign up and down payment (more info here)
    • Non-resident tuition for out of state and foreign students
    • Professional program fees

Students will be able to see their tuition and charges in my.SDSU, but will have to make payments in Transact.

As part of our shift to a post-pay model, students will now pay for their upcoming semester after registering for the semester's courses (Payment Options here).

Student Enrollment & Registration

Students will be enrolling for their Fall 2022 courses in WebPortal. Between now and 10/10/2022, WebPortal will be used for:

  • Students - Finalize schedules by 9/2/22 at 7:59 PM

Midway through the semester, we will be switching to using my.SDSU for:

  • Course grades at the end of the semester
  • Enrollment and registration for the Spring 2023 semester
