How Do I Submit Grades to my.SDSU?
Introduction
This guide will cover how to:
- Access your grade roster
- Update grades manually or through a Canvas import
- Post grades (There are two methods listed below - you may choose the best option based on your preference and class size.)
In the Faculty Center, use the My Teaching Schedule table in the subtab, My Schedule, to access the Grade Roster.
In Grade Roster, instructors can view or enter grades, update the grade roster's approval status, and post grades.
The Grade Roster appears only if you were assigned to the class (as a primary instructor, secondary instructor, or teaching assistant) by your Class Scheduler or other appropriate staff person/administrator.
Note: More information about grading is available on the Office of the Registrar website.
When Can I See the Grade Roster?
You may not see the Grade Roster icon in your Schedule yet. The Grade Roster will be available on the first day of finals.

A Manual Update is helpful for smaller class sizes. Consider using the Canvas Import method if you have a large class size.

I Need to Edit the Grades I Just Posted!
Have you posted grades? You can change the grades after they are posted only during the grading period. Please note that this option should be used very sparingly. For additional information, please read How Do I Correct Grades Once They're Posted?
